6th National Agrivision Convention poster released by Vice Chancellor SKUAST-JAMMU

2 days National Convention entitled "Natural Farming- Modern Technology; Coordination and implementation" is being organised by Student Welfare Trust, Bhopal and Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi on 20-21 May 2022 at NASC Complex, ICAR Pusa, New Delhi. Various themes of the convention are based on farm sustainability and Natural Farming. Poster of the convention was released by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor SKUAST-JAMMU Prof. J.P. Sharma along with Agrivision State Incharge Dr. Arti Sharma, Agrivision State Convenor Sourav Manhas, NEC Member Radheyshyam Kumawat, Unit Media incharge Manjot Singh.

One day training programme on “Seed and Planting Material Production in Agricultural/Horticulture Crops” was organized by Mega Seed Project, SKUAST-Jammu under the guidance of Prof. J. P. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu for farmers at village-Parmandal, District Samba on 18, January 2022. The programme was chaired by Dr. Pradeep Wali, Director Research, SKUAST-J who in his address asked the farmers of kandi belt to join hands with All India Coordinated Research Project on seed for the production of quality seed and planting material for their area. He also advised the farmers to regularly visit the farm university so that they are aware of new technologies in the field of agriculture.

New Delhi, Sep 21 : In a major boost to export prospects of agricultural produce, India has achieved a significant increase of 21.8 per cent in export of agricultural and processed food products in 2021-22 (April-August) in comparison to the corresponding period of 2020-21, a statement said on Tuesday.

Krishi Vigyan Kendras of SKUAST-Jammu working under the dynamic leadership of Prof. J. P. Sharma Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu, were awarded during the by Agricultural Technology Research Institute (ATARI) - Zone I ICAR Ludhiana for their commendable contribution in the field of agriculture and allied sectors during the Annual Zonal Workshop of KVKs 2021. Workshop was organized by ICAR-ATARI, Zone-I with the objective to review the work carried out by KVKs of Zone-1 during previous year and approval of Annual Action Plan for the year 2021-22.Prof. J. P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu and SKUAST-Kashmir appreciated the efforts of all the KVKs of SKUAST-Jammu for delivering their best to the farmers’ of the region and further advised them to work with same zeal and zest in future also.
