New Delhi, Jan 8 : The Election Commission will announce the schedule for upcoming 2022 Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Manipur, Goa and Uttarakhand at 3.30 pm on Saturday. In the run up to the announcement, the poll panel held a number of meetings with health ministry officials and other stakeholders in view of the rising Covid cases across the country. There has been steep jumps in numbers with 1.41 lakh cases reported by the ministry on Saturday.

Panaji, May 7 (UNI) Goa reported 4195 new cases of Covid 19 and 56 deaths during the last 24 hours. According to daily bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the new cases, number of total confirmed cases in the state increased to 1,12,462 while number of total deaths shot up to 1557.

According to daily bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the new cases, number of total confirmed cases in the state shot up to 93,355 while number of total deaths increased to 1222. There were 1310 recoveries during the last 24 hours which took the number of total recoveries in the state to 68,249.
