Baghpat: The water level of Yamuna rose after the release of 24 thousand cusecs of water in two days from Hathni Kund in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. Due to increase in water level, farmers’ crops have suffered in Khadar. Yamuna is flowing one meter below the danger mark. The administration has issued an alert in the district. The water will reach Baghpat by Tuesday evening. Preparations have been made to deal with erosion and flooding when the water level rises. To prevent erosion, stock of cement kattas and bulls have been installed.
