Russian Prime Minister to arrive in Armenia for EAEU intergovernmental council meeting

Moscow, Oct 8 (Sputnik) – Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is set to arrive in Armenia’s Yerevan for a two-day visit on Thursday and participate in a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) intergovernmental council.
The meeting is s scheduled to take place on Friday. The EAEU has decided not to postpone the event despite the ongoing deadly clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The prime ministers of Belarus and Kazakhstan are also expected to visit Yerevan and participate in the meeting, while Kyrgyzstan is most likely will not send any representatives to the upcoming session amid the ongoing political tensions in the Central Asian country.
The EAEU, an international integrative economic alliance, includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
