Mumbai, Sep 15 : The Rupee on Thursday slipped five paise at 79.49 in opening session on rising demand for US Dollar from bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit was seen weak owing to strong Dollar against other world currencies amid rebounding stock market in early trade.
The Rupee unit registered days high and low at 79.46 and 79.53, respectively against the US Dollar, dealer added.
