Mumbai, Sep 18 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Friday smartly recovered by 221 points to open at 39,200.42, as buying was seen across the board.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too rose by 37.85 points to 11,553.95. The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 39,200.42 and 39,017.88 points respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 11,584.10 and 11,548 respectively. The Mid Cap moved up by 0.76 per cent and Small Cap by 0.49 per cent. In 30 scrips, 19 advanced, 10 declined while one remained unchanged.
The gainers were Sun Pharma by 3.16 per cent to Rs 528, M& M by 1.56 per cent to Rs 646.70, Asian Paints by 1.24 per cent to Rs 2033.25 and Tech Mahindra by 1.30 per cent to Rs 797.20.
The losers were Hind Unilever by 1.56 per cent to Rs 2094.50, Bajaj Finserv by 0.97 per cent to Rs 5498.25, Kotak Bank by 0.73 per cent to Rs 1295.75 and Bajaj Auto by 0.53 per cent to Rs 3003.15.
