New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) The National Capital — Delhi — recorded 4,263 new cases of novel coronavirus during the past 24 hours, state health bulletin said on Tuesday. In the same period, 36 people lost their lives, a figure higher than the usual daily deaths being reported in Delhi from past many days.
This time the number of recoveries were lesser than fresh infections as 3,081 were cured and discharged since Monday. Delhi’s active case load at present stands at 29,787 , the health bulletin added. Total case count of the capital so far has now reached 2,25,796 , while the death toll till date due to Covid has mounted to 4,806.
Number of recovered persons so far , now stand at 1,91,203, while the recovery rate at present is 84.67 per cent, the government data said. The total number of containment zones have also increased and reached 1,560, as on Tuesday, while number of patients under home isolation are presently 16,576.
