Kishan Reddy inaugurates portable RT PCR, Covid-19 safe incubator for new born babies

Hyderabad, Dec 12 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy on Saturday inaugurated portable RT PCR, COVID-19 safe incubator for new born babies and a dialysis centre at ESIC Medical College in Sanathnagar here.

On the occasion, Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment (Independent charge) Santosh Kumar Gangwar also joined through online. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Reddy said that the Centre is making all out efforts to extend corporate healthcare facilities to the poor people.

For the benefit of the poor people, the Centre has also set up Generic Medical shops across the country, he said. Stating that the ESIC Super Specialty Hospital and ESIC Medical College got best Hospital and Medical College awards respectively in 2019, the Union Minister said 80 lakh workers were availing medical facilities in the hospitals.

Stating that the Out Patients (OP) services were launched at AIIMS in B B Nagar, Mr Reddy said and assured that some more medical services would be introduced.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is striving hard for the release of COVID-19 Vaccine in India itself without depending on other countries.

Mr Modi visited Hyderabad to give moral support to the Scientists who are working on COVID-19 vaccine ‘Covaxin” at Bharat Biotech International Limited (BBIL).
