Mumbai, Aug 27 (UNI) The Rupee on Thursday posted a solid gain of 51 paise to end strong at 73.80 against the greenback on selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit that fell by four paise to 74.35 in opening trade bounced back and finished at 73.80, spurting by 51 paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee rallied because of weak Dollar against other world currencies,amid positive stock market, dealers said.
The rupee registered intra days high and low at 74.39 and 73.76 respectively, he added.
