Thane Sep 02 (UNI) Pandemic situation in Thane and neighbouring Palghar districts is alarming as with 1,175 new cases, the district’s tally surged to 1,25,352, authorities said on Wednesday.
Even, Palghar district is also fast approaching registering 24,725 cases officials from the district headquarters said today.
The deaths in Thane district so far is 3,577 with an addition of 27 cases and in Palghar the total deaths were 511. The deaths in the different civic limits have dropped drastically the official said adding that Bhiwandi and Thane rural did not have any death.
The deaths in the other civic corporations have come down to single digit. In great relief, Mira Bhayander reported just one death and the Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, and Badlapur reported two each.
The official said that the recovery rate in Thane district was 87.16 per cent (1,09,260), mortality 2.85 pc (3,577) and active patients 9.98 pc (12,515).
The total cases in Ambernath are fast approaching 5,000 the official added.
The official from Palghar said that the total cases in Palghar were 24,725 and the death toll stands at 511.
