Patna, Bihar, IndiaRodic Consultants Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed by the Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDC) to head the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Output and Performance-Based Road Maintenance Contract (OPRMC). Rodic has been engaged to provide monitoring and handholding support for 12 State Highways and Major District Roads captured in the contract. Rodic has immediately set out to introduce reforms in the monitoring processes, including digitizing the workflow mechanism for onboarding and completion of projects, as well as real-time monitoring of road construction, maintenance, monitoring, and financial and contractual administration. The appointment comes on the heels of the BSRDC's desire to enhance its maintenance and monitoring processes for enhanced road usage and longevity.

Health workers being trained for motherhood care: Mangal

Patna, April 29 : Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that for Motherhood care in dignified manner, the health workers where being trained properly across the state. Mangal Pandey said here on Friday that this would add to the qualitative birth care of expecting mothers. The health workers were also being trained for dignified behaviour with the expecting mothers in the hospitals. He said that the training was being imparted from April 26 and continue till May 7 during which all health workers including clinical staff assistant and others working in various sections in different hospitals of the state were being trained. The health minister said that the government was committed to provide safe and secured birth care facilities in the state.

Parks, zoos to remain shut from Dec 31 to Jan 2

Patna, Dec 29 : The Coronavirus has dampened the enthusiasm of new year lovers as the Bihar government has ordered the closure of all parks and zoos in the state from December 31 to January 2 because of the sudden rise in the number of Corona-positive cases in recent days.

Central team reviews flood situation in Bihar

Patna, Sept 06 : A six member Central team made an aerial survey of the flood affected areas of Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Samastipur districts and reviewed the flood situation, here on Monday. After the aerial survey the team discussed the situation with the higher authorities of Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur and also took stock of the situation of relief measures being taken in the flood affected areas.

2.5 lakh prepaid electric meters to be installed in Bihar

Patna, Mar 09 (UNI) Bihar Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav today said that a total of 2.5 lakh prepaid electric meters would be installed in the state by a French company which would also take care of its maintenance for the next six years.
