New Delhi,Oct 31 (UNI) Extending his greetings to people on Valmiki Jayanti, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that for ages, ‘Ramayana’ has inspired the whole world to walk on the path of truth.
Taking to twitter, he said “Maharishi Valmiki Ji described the life of Lord Sri Rama in the holy Ramayana. For ages, ‘Ramayana’ has inspired the whole world to take the path of truth and religion as shown by the Lord Ram’s life, devotion, tenacity and the philosophy of his struggle.
The country is celebrating the birth anniversary of the famous sage Maharishi Valmiki on October 31. He is also known as the Adi Kavi or the first poet in Sanskrit language. He is also responsible for writing the first-ever Sanskrit shlokas and he composed the the epic Ramayana in Sanskrit language.
