Jammu, September 28 ; One day training programme entitled “Transfer of Technology for Management of Alternate Bearing Problem through Hormonal Intervention in Mango Varieties at Jammu Region” was organized at Sungal lower B, Villi – nalli basti, Sungal, P. O. Lehar, Distt – Jammu, Tehsil – Akhnoor by NABARD Jammu and Division of Plant Physiology, Faculty of Basic sciences under the aegis of SKUAST – Jammu. In this training, farmers from villages Sungal and nearby, participated. Mr Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, AGM(DDM-R), NABARD – Jammu and Kashmir delivered a lecture on various programmes launched by NABARD in favour of farmers. Dr Bhav Kumar Sinha, PI of the project, delivered a talk on “Alternate Bearing in Mango” and gives training for orchard management and preparation of pits
around the trenches of mango trees.
The farmers participated in the working by scientists of the Division of Plant Physiology and expect such type of trainings in future. At the end of the programme, Dr Bhav Kumar Sinha expressed the vote of thanks to the participants, experts and the people involved in the training
programme.
