HP: Three deaths and 155 new COIVD cases

Hamirpur (HP), October 6 : Himachal Pradesh reported 155 new COVID-19 cases and 3 related deaths on Tuesday, authorities said on Wednesday. Among the dead 2 people died in Kangra district and one in Una district.
With this, the number of total fatalities has risen to 3, 672, whereas the number of active cases have fallen as 161 older cases also got cured cured, according to a spokesman of the HP Health Department.
The spokesman told UNI that as many as 8,874 samples were tested against COVID on Tuesday, out of which 155 were found infected.
In the meantime, forty-one new cases were reported in Hamirpur district.
Incidentally, the number of children and young people up to the age of twenty-five years getting infected has also gone up sharply especially ahead of the festive season starting from October 7.
A report receiving here revealed that school-going children are also getting infected by the virus raising concerns among the parents and school authorities.
However, despite this, the management of some of the private schools in the district have started their schools right from first-class without any orders from the state government. They have been transporting the students in their own buses to the schools contravening the orders of the state Disaster Management Authority which had only permitted the opening of schools from classes 9th to 12th.
Similarly, a number of coaching institutions are also running in various parts of the district including Hamirpur town with overcrowding of the students studying there in contravention of the orders of the government regarding social distancing.
